Job Details

Job Title: Senior SAP EWM Lead Solution Architect

Location: Bismarck, ND (Onsite Monday–Thursday; travel required)

Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the primary SME for SAP EWM, providing guidance on best practices, functional capabilities, and industry trends.

  • Solution Design & Blueprinting: Lead or significantly contribute to the design of end-to-end supply chain processes in SAP, mapping business requirements to SAP standard functionalities across:

    • SAP S/4HANA ERP Modules: Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), Warehouse Management (WM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Transportation Management (TM)

    • SAP Ariba Modules: Strategic Sourcing (Sourcing, Contracts), Operational Procurement (Buying, Invoicing, Guided Buying), Supplier Management (Supplier Lifecycle & Performance, Supplier Risk)

  • Integration Leadership: Guide integration strategies between SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA/ECC and other relevant SAP Supply Chain modules. Troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges.

  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document complex supply chain requirements, translating them into functional specifications.

  • Configuration Validation: Support configuration activities in SAP Supply Chain and Ariba solutions. Validate configured processes to ensure alignment with business needs.

  • Problem Solving & Optimization: Identify and resolve complex business and system issues. Recommend process improvements and system enhancements to optimize efficiency.

  • Project Lifecycle Support: Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including discovery, design, build, testing (SIT, UAT), training, and hypercare support.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other SAP functional teams (Finance, Master Data), technical teams (ABAP, Integration), OCM, and Testing teams to ensure integrated solutions.

  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain comprehensive functional documentation, including design documents, test scripts, and training materials. Facilitate knowledge transfer to internal teams and end-users.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating consensus and driving decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Supply Chain functional consulting or equivalent SME role.

  • Proven functional expertise across multiple SAP Supply Chain modules, including MM, SD, and PP.

  • Significant experience (3–5+ years) with SAP Ariba modules such as Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, Buying, Guided Buying, and Supplier Lifecycle & Performance.

  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA; ECC experience is also valuable.

  • Demonstrated experience in at least 2–3 full lifecycle SAP implementation projects.

  • Solid understanding of integration scenarios between SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA/ECC.

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Expert-level functional configuration skills in SAP MM, SD, and PP.

  • Strong understanding of procurement, order-to-cash, and production processes.

  • Hands-on experience with Ariba configuration, template design, and integrations.

  • Ability to read and understand ABAP code for debugging specifications is a plus.

  • Proficiency in creating functional specifications for WRICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).

Note: Weekly travel to the client location in Bismarck, ND (Monday–Thursday) is required.
