Position: Manufacturing Engineer 3 Battery
Location: Casa Grande, AZ
Estimated Duration: 9 months contract (high possibility of extension)
Job Description:
- Purpose of this team: Focuses on implementing innovative technologies and processes to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This involves designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing systems, often utilizing automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, and digital manufacturing techniques. The department also manages budgets, tracks project progress, and ensures adherence to company standards.
- Reason for the request: Mid-size launch.
- Surrounding team & key projects: Supporting ME, drive unit: stator, rotar, dyno development. Battery: pack, module, power electronics.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: DFM, RFQ development. Solving engineering issues from an equipment perspective. Integrate production lines into manufacturing facilities.
- Interaction level with manager/team: Suppliers, production team, product engineering
- Chance for extension later? Potential for extension and/or conversion
- Expected working hours: 8am-5pm PST, Mon-Fri (OT as needed)
- Location Requirements: Onsite, Casa Grande, AZ

Candidate Requirements:
- Years of Experience Required: 5-7+ years
- Degrees or certifications required: BS Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial.
- Best vs. Average: Develop own task profiles. Be able to drive activity. Testing experience. Robotics experience. Design experience, tooling, jig, layouts. Vision experience. Troubleshooting.
- Client experience preference: No
- Performance Indicators: Task based, complete within schedule within budget. Drive project to completion. Work cross-functionally with other teams.

- Equipment: Engineering laptop, badge, email
- Overtime (busy times, etc.): As needed
- Expenses (parking, food, etc.): Travel to CA, AZ, KSA as required (25%-40% travel)
Interviews:
- Process: 3 rounds: HM, panel with team, cross-functional team member.
- Preparation for candidate (ie technical screening)
