Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Administrative Assistant to support our legal department with administrative tasks, legal documentation, and coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with legal procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, proofread, and manage legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
Maintain and organize case files, records, and confidential legal documents.
Schedule meetings, court hearings, and maintain attorneys’ calendars.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries related to legal matters.
File legal documents with courts and agencies, ensuring compliance with filing procedures.
Conduct basic legal research and gather relevant case information as needed.
Assist attorneys with preparing materials for trials, hearings, and depositions.
Manage billing and invoicing for legal services, including timekeeping.
Liaise with clients, court personnel, and external partners professionally.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Prior experience in a legal or administrative support role.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal management systems.
Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and documentation standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
