Job Title: Platform DevOps Engineer (AWS or Azure)
Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid)
Length of contract: 6+ months of Contract

Keys to the role:

7+ years of DevOps Engineering experience with either AWS or Azure (preferably both...:)

Experience setting up and deploying apps through CI/CD pipelines both on prem and in the cloud.


We're looking for a Platform DevOps Engineer to help us build and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys automation, loves solving complex problems, and wants to work with modern DevOps tools and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage cloud environments (AWS or Azure), using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, etc.).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AWS cloud resources including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM.
  • Set up and deploy apps through CI/CD pipelines both on prem & in the cloud using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to write clear and reusable code w/ JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Java, C# or Clojure.
  • Automate infrastructure using (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support development and deployment of applications both on prem and in the cloud.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause resolutions.
  • Automate manual processes and improve system reliability and scalability.
  • Support containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or AKS).

Skills:

  • 7+ years of DevOps or DevSecOps or platform engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Ability to code in JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Java, C# or Clojure.

Experience w/ GitHub or Jira Ticketing systems
