Job title: SAS Programmers
KVRA Tech Inc has openings for SAS Programmers in Piscataway, NJ and other unanticipated locations nationwide.
Duties:
- Assist with extracting patient data from various healthcare sources data like Flatiron, Optum and MarketScan.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of dataset specifications, including derivation rules, controlled terminology, and metadata consistent clinical data standards.
- Participate in the development of data management plans that address areas such as coding, reporting, or transfer of clinical and healthcare data, database locks, and workflow processes.
- Support performing audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, or proper usage of clinical systems and data. Participate in integrating multiple data sources through electronic health records, claims, registries for health economics and outcomes research. Contribute to identifying and resolving data discrepancies, performing edit checks, and ensuring clean, compliant datasets for interim and final analyses.
- Work on various requests - ad hoc, internal and post hoc requests.
- Assist with organizing, compiling and producing protocols, observational epidemiological study reports, and other controlled documentation.
- Assist with extraction, transformation and loading of the healthcare data using SQL queries and SAS.
- Apply statistical methods like propensity score, inverse probability weighting to balance the cohorts to avoid selection bias using SAS.
- Participate in the validation and quality control activities of the datasets and the table, listings and figures for the incidence, prevalence, medication utilization, prescription pattern.
- Participate in the analysis of health-related data and preparation of analytical reports such as patient characteristics, healthcare resource utilization, treatment pattern, access to treatment using SAS, Tableau and R.
- Contribute to the data analysis and help with developing SAS macros automating and simplifying programs for better control over the dataflow and data quality.
- Assist with data queries, based on validation checks and errors/omissions during data entry, and help with resolving the identified problems.
- Contribute to the predictive modelling activities using SAS for the health outcomes data and create displays demonstrating reduced healthcare cost.
- Assist with programming for real world healthcare data and generating data-driven insights to functional areas such as market access, publication, and medical affairs.
- Support validation of the datasets and outputs against the specifications to ensure quality and compliance with SOPs.
- Work on creating cohorts as per real world data study by applying inclusion and exclusion criteria from statistical analysis plan.
