Hybrid:

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business].

Relocation:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Treasury Application Developer with deep expertise in designing and developing innovative treasury software solutions that drive real-world impact across global cash management, liquidity, and payments systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive treasury domain knowledge, and hands-on experience with Wallstreet Suite (WSS). The successful candidate will join our Treasury Innovation team and will take broad responsibility for the development and productization of advanced treasury applications, from prototyping new automation algorithms and integrations to deploying core treasury systems supporting critical business functions. This role will also encompass ensuring the security, reliability, and compliance of treasury technology, working closely with a global Treasury business partner to transform ideas into scalable, efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex integrations between Wallstreet Suite and internal/external platforms.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution for treasury applications.
  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of treasury applications using Python, Shell scripting, and SQL to automate processes and improve system efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with treasury business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with functional needs.
  • Drive change management efforts related to treasury application updates, including documentation, user training, and support.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and treasury to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, security policies, and regulatory requirements within treasury technology solutions.
  • Participate in system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Continuously research and recommend technology improvements to enhance treasury operations.

Additional Job Description

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 10 years of programming and application development experience, with a significant portion focused on financial or treasury systems.

Technical Skills:
  • Deep technical expertise in Wallstreet Suite (WSS), including experience with ComKIT (Common Integration Toolkit) for building and maintaining interfaces and custom components.
  • Familiarity with WSS architecture, batch processing, and configuration of core treasury modules.
  • Wallstreet Suite technical certifications highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in application development, particularly in treasury and financial systems.
  • Strong Shell scripting skills for system integration, automation, and job orchestration.
  • Expertise in SQL for complex data querying, performance optimization, and report development.

Treasury Functional Knowledge:
  • Solid understanding of treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, payments processing, risk management, and bank relationship management.
  • Familiarity with treasury workflows, compliance, and regulatory environment.


Additional Technical Knowledge (Highly Desirable):
  • Experience with SWIFT messaging standards and related treasury messaging platforms.
  • Exposure to OpenText GEPARA or other global payment management system.


Soft Skills:
  • Proven experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating third-party software implementation.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives including user communication and training.
