Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong experience in API integration, API documentation, and manual API testing, specifically within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that API solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and financial transaction standards.
Hands-on experience with wires, ACH, and payment formats such as ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT100 is essential.
 
Required Skills:
  • 9+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in IT projects, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP API architecture, authentication methods (OAuth, API Keys), and data formats (JSON, XML)
  • Experience writing clear and concise API documentation and user manuals
  • Hands-on experience in manual testing of APIs using Postman or similar tools
  • Solid knowledge and practical experience in wires, ACH, and other payment formats such as ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT100
  • Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with core banking platforms, payment systems, or digital banking products
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as KYC, AML, PCI-DSS in API development
  • Familiarity with API gateways, service virtualization, or microservices architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (MBA is a plus)
