The Engineering Test & Technology (ET&T) organization is seeking a Systems and Tools Engineer to join our Supply Chain System & Tools team in Berkeley, MO; Arlington, VA; Huntington Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; or North Charleston, SC.
ET&T Supply Chain leads the strategy and execution of procurement for ET&T. The largest internal customers are Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) and Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T). The ET&T Supply Chain System & Tools team is responsible for developing the strategy and requirements for tool enhancements that increase efficiency and improve quality for tools users. Users range from Engineers, Program Managers, Managers, Executives, Buyers, and more.
This position will support our internal systems and tools within our supply chain organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in requirements engineering, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for optimizing processes and systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements, ensuring that our internal tools effectively support supply chain operations.
ET&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced level Systems and Tools Engineers.

- Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for internal systems and tools
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand user needs and system functionalities
- Requirements Analysis:
- Analyze and prioritize requirements to ensure alignment with business objectives and supply chain strategies
- Identify gaps in existing systems and propose enhancements or new solutions
- Documentation:
- Create clear and comprehensive requirement specifications, use cases, and user stories
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of requirements, processes, and system functionalities
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to bridge any gaps in understanding
- Testing and Validation:
- Assist in the development of test plans and test cases based on requirements
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that systems meet specified requirements
- Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency and user experience
- Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and tools
- Act as a point of contact for user inquiries and issues related to internal systems
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 1+ years of experience with engineering processes for the development of complex test requirements, objectives, evaluation criteria and analysis requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Supply Chain Processes
