SAP CPI Developer (Contract)

Start Date: Q1 2026
Duration: 2 Months + Extensions for Testing & Training
Location: Remote (PST schedule preferred; MST/CST/EST acceptable with 3 4 hrs PST overlap)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week

Overview

Our client, a major publicly traded manufacturing company that distributes products to dealers, is kicking off an initiative to migrate SAP C4C users to Salesforce. They need a senior SAP CPI Developer to lead all integration development between SAP and Salesforce while also supporting additional enterprise interfaces across SAP CRM, ECC, BW, S/4HANA, Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud, and related systems.

The internal integration team is at capacity, and this role is critical to delivering the migration on an accelerated timeline. The core development must be completed within the 2-month window, followed by extensions for testing, stabilization, and training.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Development for C4C Salesforce Migration

  • Build, test, and deploy SAP CPI iFlows for the SAP C4C Salesforce migration
  • Review existing C4C integrations and adapt or rebuild them for Salesforce
  • Perform mapping between SAP, C4C, Salesforce, and downstream systems
  • Ensure integrations are reliable, secure, and production-ready

Enterprise SAP CPI Integration Support

  • Support or develop integrations across SAP ECC, CRM, BW, S/4HANA, Commerce Cloud, and Sales Cloud
  • Configure CPI connections, adapters, routing logic, value mapping, and exception handling
  • Assist with CPI integrations involving Adobe Marketo or AEM if needed
  • Troubleshoot integration errors and optimize performance

Technical Design & Requirements

  • Gather and refine integration requirements with functional and technical teams
  • Translate business processes into integration architecture and technical specifications
  • Recommend best practices for CPI development and integration patterns

Testing, Validation & Training

  • Support SIT, UAT, regression, and defect resolution throughout the project
  • Assist with cutover, deployment, and hypercare support
  • Provide documentation and training to the internal teams for long-term ownership

Collaboration & Communication

  • Participate in daily standups and project meetings across time zones
  • Communicate risks, blockers, and status updates proactively
  • Work closely with SAP functional analysts, Salesforce developers, and project leaders

Required Skills

  • 5 7+ years of SAP CPI development & administration
  • Strong experience building iFlows, mappings, adapters, value mappings, and exception frameworks
  • Experience integrating SAP ECC, CRM, BW, S/4HANA, and cloud platforms
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with business and technical teams
  • Availability for 40 hrs/week with 3 4 hours overlap in PST

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • CPI integration with Adobe Marketo
  • CPI integration with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Experience supporting CRM migrations, especially C4C Salesforce
  • Background in API management, OData/REST integrations, and cloud middleware
