Job Title: 7141 - Monarch Technology Analyst (Must Reside in Sacramento to be considered)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Monarch Technology Analyst to provide critical production support and technical expertise for Monarch ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) and OMS (Outage Management System) applications. This role requires strong IT system management skills, troubleshooting abilities, and clear communication to ensure optimal performance and reliability of these mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day production support for Monarch ADMS and OMS applications to ensure system stability and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including root cause analysis, documentation, and collaboration with technical teams and end-users.
- Perform system maintenance, configuration management, and performance monitoring.
- Test and validate software updates, patches, and enhancements; develop and execute resolution plans.
- Provide user support, including responsive Windows desktop troubleshooting for application users.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as specifications, data flow diagrams, and process workflows.
- Assist with test scenario development, test plans, and test scripts for QA and enhancement activities.
- Collaborate across diverse teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prepare and submit weekly status reports and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Support additional project assignments and enhancement requests as needed.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, or related field; OR minimum of three (3) years of experience in networking, security, virtual environments, and Windows operating systems.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with Monarch ADMS and OMS (on Windows).
Technical Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in the electric utility industry.
- Basic GIS knowledge, including electrical maps and related electronic components.
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Strong technical understanding of networking and security.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, virtual environments, and systems integration.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with GIS data models, preferably Hexagon Technology.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Current knowledge of technological developments in the electrical and software industry.
- Prior AMI (Itron) experience.
- Previous experience with PI (Aveva) systems.
- Experience with Postgres and Cassandra databases.
