Job Details
You will own requirements and solution design for reverse/forward logistics and returns flows. You ll partner with business, SAP, Salesforce and integration teams to move a largely manual RMA/returns process to EDI-driven automation.
What you ll do
- Run discovery with business teams; document as-is/to-be OTC and returns flows
- Define specs for EDI-driven touchpoints across sales order, delivery, shipment, billing, returns, credit/debit memos
- Configure SD for returns scenarios (order types, item categories, copy/control, pricing, movement types), and collaborate with technical teams on extensions
- Coordinate IDoc setups and partner profiles; align message control and reprocessing procedures
- Write integration requirements for middleware (CPI/Mule/PI/PO) and downstream systems (e.g., CRM/Service)
- Drive UAT, cutover readiness, hypercare, and runbooks; track KPIs for cycle time and fallout reduction
- Communicate statrisks to stakeholders; work hands-on with onshore/offshore teams
What you ll bring
- Strong SD OTC configuration depth across order-to-cash and returns
- Hands-on EDI/IDoc experience: common X12 and IDoc sets used in OTC and returns; partner profiles; error handling
- Ability to author clear functional specs, integration specs, and test cases
- Experience working with middleware teams (CPI or similar) on mapping, acknowledgements, retries, and monitoring
- Clear communication with business stakeholders and engineers; comfort with onsite collaboration
Nice to have
- Exposure to service/RMA flows initiated in a CRM/Service platform
- S/4HANA experience; WM/EWM touchpoints for returns logistics application
