Job Summary:

As an ATE Dry Etch Process Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for successful and effective transfer of new technologies into MTV in assigned area(s) that enable fast matching of the sending fab performance on yield improvement and cycle time reduction towards TTMCY with phenomenal collaboration with sending site transfer counterparts, MCT and all other related departments. It is important to have a clear comprehension of the site, department, and area objectives, project timelines, and breakthroughs! It is encouraged that you complete your assigned projects and tasks in a timely and accurate manner. You will need to demonstrate a high level of ownership with excellent workmanship and interpersonal skills throughout the year!

Responsibility:
  • Complete required safety training and ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with Microns safety policies.
  • Manage, measure, and supervise DRAM technology transfer project for assigned area(s) to ensure work and schedules are met.
  • Build collaboration with sending Fab counterparts and MCT, thru periodic meetings/1:1 and other means to achieve good communication with counterparts
  • Partner with Process Engineering (PE), Process Integration Engineering (PIE), Manufacturing Equipment Engineering (ME) and Fab Area Leadership to close gaps to meet technology qualification and volume manufacturing ramp
  • Ensure execution to alignment projects and programs in assigned area(s) to achieve breakthroughs for transfer, startup, yield, quality, and ramp
  • Develop area specific project plans and associated communication plans for DRAM technology transfer
  • Own new technology node related Value Engineering projects and Tool Evaluations
  • Ensure Google Cloud Platform matching with sending site in assigned area(s)
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external collaborators
  • Meet regularly with direct supervisor to clarify expectations and own personal developmental plans
  • Collaborate with sending site on the release plan of tools and process mismatches, CEERB items
  • Drive the implementation of area specific CEERB requirement that SWAP/RR lot can only run through a step after the PRD at that step is signed off and no conditional signoffs are recognized. Full sign-off is the only sign-off unless there are NG-SWAP metrics in Transfer Expectation file.
  • Apply the tool matching of "reuse" tools by using Sister sites & CEERB as needed, to enable sample delivery, quality, and yield goals.
  • Lead, measure and supervise projects in assigned area(s) to ensure work and time frames are met.
  • Complete the Transfer Expectations on time (Golden tool and backup tool selection, VMP matching, Wafer requirements, SWAP plan etc.)
  • Collect lessons learned from the DRAM technology being transferred and the latest DRAM technology and implement mitigation plans effectively
  • Work with PE, PIE, ME, SPMO and Planning teams to accommodate incoming process changes, hardware changes and conversions
  • Work with Procurement team and IQC team to make sure there is no miss on FOAK materials readiness and FOAK/SOAK materials quality matching to sending fab(s)
  • Drive and complete the qual matching and set up build travelers, qual travelers, and qual definitions on time
  • Drive PRD data collection, setups and data comparison matching the pre-defined transfer expectations on time with high quality
  • Assist Process and Equipment Engineering team on TRD data collection and mitigation plans
  • Ensure all PRD/ TRD mismatches are assembled and approved through CEERB and drive punch list items and CEERB actions completion on time
  • Work with ATE logistics team to complete PRD wafers and SWAP lots appropriately
  • Ensure golden tool PRD sign-offs 14 days before 1st SWAP lot to the step
  • Ensure backup tool PRD sign-offs 14 days before EFF lots coming to the step at backup capable steps
  • Actively participate in Daily / weekly group meeting, support the team by providing constructive suggestions.
  • Ensure the NPI project timeline is met and all MSR work is gathered, presented, and recorded. All actions from MSR are completed in timely manner.) Collaboratively working with your Planning and PI to have PRD/TRD sign off for new / upgrade tools on time to meet the PC/EFF start date.
  • Training and reaction mechanism documented are transferred with quality and are deployed to all parties that should be aware of the documents.
  • Monitor lead Lot Heath and response to abnormal process
  • Ensure MSSR matching on Swap, EFF and Qual lots.
  • Yield matching post lead lots
  • Support Derivative part startup
  • Lesson learned, collected, and constructive improvement provided to next transfer

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication, including direct experience with dry etch equipment or process engineering.
  • Experience in equipment ownership: problem-solving with equipment, preventive maintenance, and performance improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven commitment to safety protocols and quality standards in a cleanroom environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related engineering or technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in dry etch equipment engineering, with exposure to ATE (Automated Test Equipment) integration or support.
  • Proven track record in driving process optimization, cost reduction, and equipment reliability improvements.
  • Familiarity with SPC, APC, FDC, and data analysis tools for process and equipment monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and act on process and equipment data.
  • Experience leading or mentoring others.
  • Project management experience, including vendor interactions and equipment installations or upgrades.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with process, equipment, and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.
