Location: Houston Texas area (The Woodlands)

Schedule: Hybrid at least 3 days a week in the office; standard business hours with flexibility for global collaboration

Travel: Up to 10% (client/partner site visits, conferences)

Pay Range: $150,000 - $180,000 per year base salary

About the Role

As a Senior Architect SaaS B2B Development, you will define and own the technical architecture for IntelliSPEC's next-generation SaaS platform. You will work closely with executive leadership, product management, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise solutions for global B2B customers.

You will be the technical authority guiding multi-tenant cloud-native architecture, API governance, microservices strategy, and AI/ML integration, ensuring that every technical decision aligns with IntelliSPEC's business goals, industry compliance standards, and long-term scalability requirements.

The Team

You will join IntelliSPEC's Architecture and Product Engineering group, a cross-functional team of architects, principal engineers, and product leaders. This team sets the technical vision and standards that shape how we design, build, and scale enterprise-grade SaaS solutions in industrial and regulated markets.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Proven experience architecting B2B SaaS platforms at scale
• Expertise in multi-tenant cloud-native architecture on Azure or AWS
• Strong proficiency in microservices and event-driven architecture patterns
• Advanced knowledge of API governance and integration strategy (REST, GraphQL)
• Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and Node.js for backend architecture and service orchestration
• Experience with React or similar frameworks for scalable SaaS front-ends
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with security, compliance, and data privacy for SaaS (SOC 2, GDPR)
• Experience with AI/ML model training for multimodal data capture (text, image, video, audio) and deployment on IoT or edge devices for real-time analytics
• Track record of scaling SaaS platforms for high-transaction, global enterprise environments
• Experience applying SAFe or similar scaled Agile delivery frameworks
• Excellent leadership and executive-level communication skills

Preferred

• Familiarity with offline-capable SaaS modules for field or remote use
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and DevOps automation (CI/CD, Terraform)
• Background in industrial, safety, or compliance-driven SaaS domains

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain IntelliSPEC's enterprise SaaS architecture strategy
• Set architectural standards and best practices for the entire development organization
• Lead architecture governance across engineering teams, ensuring compliance with patterns, standards, and best practices
• Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate architecture decisions and accelerate solution delivery
• Drive API design governance to ensure performance, consistency, and security
• Oversee design and optimization of multi-tenant, microservices-based platforms
• Partner with the CTO and business leaders to align technical roadmaps with product strategy
• Review and approve key technical decisions, designs, and vendor technology selections
• Guide performance tuning, scalability frameworks, and high-availability design
• Mentor architects and senior engineers, developing technical leadership across teams
