Job Title: Solution Architect (ITS)

Location: Memphis, TN or Remote (U.S. based)
Duration: 18+ Months Contract
Rate: $60 $70/hr
(must have excellent communication skills)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Solution Architect to join a high-impact team delivering enterprise technology solutions across diverse business functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both technical architecture and stakeholder engagement, with proven experience leading projects from discovery through delivery.

You will collaborate with business leaders, technical architects, developers, and vendors to design, implement, and integrate complex systems and solutions. This role requires both technical acumen and strong interpersonal skills to drive successful outcomes in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical and business lead responsible for end-to-end solution delivery.

  • Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to design scalable, maintainable solutions.

  • Lead requirement gathering, documentation, and translation into functional use cases.

  • Drive project planning, scope estimation, and resource coordination.

  • Promote architectural standards and reusability across projects and platforms.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.

  • Support vendor integration, system evaluation, and solution implementation activities.

  • Guide teams in assessing technical feasibility and aligning with enterprise architecture strategies.

  • Lead return-on-investment (ROI) analysis and track project performance metrics.

  • Contribute to long-term IT roadmap planning and technology evaluations.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 4 5+ years of experience in a Solution Architect or related leadership role.

  • Strong background in solution design, enterprise systems, and integration projects.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid SDLC methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

  • Strong documentation, analysis, and presentation capabilities.

  • Ability to lead business and technical teams toward common objectives.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)

  • Exposure to enterprise platforms or COTS systems

  • Background in vendor management and enterprise IT transformation
