Job Title: DevSecOps Software Engineer (Python)
Primary Location: Remote USA

TalentFish is casting a line for a Software Engineer - DevSecOps for our premier client. This is a 6-month contract with possibility to extend or convert.
The Software Engineer DevSecOps will build out and maintain the infrastructure, CI/CD, and cloud foundations needed to support secure, scalable web applications, accelerate DevSecOps adoption, and ensure operational reliability.
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1-2+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in an interpreted language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, etc.).
- Experience with shell scripting. Experience with Linux is a Plus.
- Experience working with a relational database (e.g. PostgreSQL, MariaDB).
- Experience with a public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Linux system administration skills.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with container runtimes (Docker, Podman).
- Familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
- Experience using configuration management / IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform).

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)
- Develop web applications, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and manage cloud infrastructure to support DevSecOps practices.
- Collaborate with other engineers to define and support infrastructure needs.
- Author internal and external documentation (infrastructure, processes, runbooks).
- Respond to incident and issue reports: triage, implement fixes, and build regression tests.
- Support ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
Compensation Information
This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The expected salary range for this position is $35 - $58 per hour W2, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health, vision, and dental insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
