job summary:

We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to lead and manage our Managed Service Provider (MSP) while collaborating with fellow engineers and stakeholders to deliver top-tier cloud services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Azure Cloud services, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and possess the capability to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for upholding the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based systems.

responsibilities:

**Position: Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer**

**Essential Functions:**

- Design, develop, and deploy Azure services and tools using infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

- Manage and monitor a variety of cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, databases, networks, data backup, and virtual desktops.

- Oversee Azure Backup and Azure Virtual Desktop services.

- Administer Azure Identity and Access Management for secure access control.

- Develop and maintain Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure Automation scripts, and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) artifacts to automate resource provisioning and management.

- Implement best practices for resource utilization and cost management to optimize efficiency.

- Lead the migration of existing VMware infrastructure to a cloud-based solution.

- Optimize performance and scalability of Azure services.

- Monitor and control costs to ensure budget adherence.

- Provide support for day-to-day operations of the infrastructure.

**Minimum Skills and Experience:**

- 10+ years of hands-on technical experience, with at least 6 years focused on Microsoft Azure.

- Deep understanding of Azure services, networking, and security principles.

- Proficiency with Azure monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.

- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Azure Command-Line Interface (CLI).

- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

- strong background in implementing cloud security measures, including encryption, authentication, authorization, and firewall configurations.

- Microsoft Azure certifications are advantageous.

- Previous experience overseeing infrastructure within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) setting is desirable.
