We are seeking a highly skilled IBM DB2 Warehouse Edition Administrator with proven expertise in AWS environments (ECS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM) to manage, optimize, and modernize our data warehouse infrastructure.

This role will play a critical part in supporting the migration of DB2 data warehouses between AWS accounts, ensuring security, performance, and reliability throughout the transition.

The ideal candidate combines advanced DB2 administration experience with AWS data services knowledge to drive automation, performance tuning, and operational excellence across cloud-based data warehouse environments.

Lead and manage IBM DB2 Warehouse Edition migrations from vendor-managed AWS to State-managed AWS ECS environments, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
Administer and optimize DB2 Warehouse Edition for performance, scalability, and high availability within a containerized ECS environment.
Monitor and analyze database performance metrics (CPU, I/O, memory, query response, workload distribution) and implement tuning strategies for continuous improvement.
Develop automation scripts for system health checks, scaling, backup/recovery, and failover management.
Collaborate with project and infrastructure teams to deploy, scale, and secure DB2 clusters in AWS.
Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies for DB2 environments.
Support ETL optimization and data warehouse performance improvements, working closely with data engineering teams.
Maintain comprehensive documentation — including migration plans, validation procedures, and architecture diagrams.
Provide ongoing DBA support, including patching, upgrades, diagnostics, and incident resolution.
