Junior Vehicle Test Operator Software Validation
About the Role:?We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Vehicle Test Operator to support software validation activities across our electric vehicle development fleet. You ll play a hands-on role in preparing test vehicles, executing structured driving routes, logging data, and assisting engineers in verifying software features across multiple domains such as chassis, body, and thermal systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience working directly with engineering teams, embedded software, and development vehicles while contributing to real-world testing of advanced vehicle technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience working directly with engineering teams, embedded software, and development vehicles while contributing to real-world testing of advanced vehicle technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute defined test routes and driving scenarios to validate software functionality
- Assist with vehicle readiness, including software flashing, configuration setup, and instrumentation installation
- Operate development vehicles safely in controlled environments, on-road, and test tracks
- Log test data using CAN tools (e.g., Vehicle Spy, CANalyzer) and onboard logging systems
- Provide detailed feedback on vehicle behavior and support root-cause investigations
- Work alongside technicians and senior engineers to perform vehicle updates and troubleshooting
- Support fleet operations, including part swaps, basic maintenance coordination, and issue tracking
- Document test activities and issues using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Afternoon, weekend, or nighttime testing may be required depending on development needs and test schedules
Basic Qualifications:
- 0 2 years of experience in vehicle testing, validation, or development shop support
- Comfortable driving development vehicles and following test procedures
- Familiarity with automotive systems and basic diagnostics (OBD, CAN tools, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured test plans
- Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
- Willingness and ability to travel to remote test sites (including cold weather and high-altitude locations)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Accredited proving ground driver training
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with data logging tools, diagnostic equipment, or test instrumentation
- Exposure to vehicle software flashing tools or bug tracking systems
- Interest in electric vehicles and embedded software systems
