RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking an Epic Security Analyst to join their team in Atlanta, GA.
Summary:
The Epic Security Analyst is responsible for managing user access and security within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data by configuring security settings, maintaining access controls, and collaborating with stakeholders across clinical, business, and IT domains.
Security Configuration & Maintenance:
* Design, build, and maintain Epic security components including user templates, roles, profiles, and security classes
* Manage provider records (SER), user records (EMP), and provider/patient groups (PGP)
* Implement and support Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) and least-privilege access standards
User Access Management:
* Oversee user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows
* Troubleshoot access issues and respond to security incidents
* Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Collaboration & Support:
* Work with application teams to deploy new modules and update security configurations
* Participate in go-live activities, upgrades, and special updates
* Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic security and schedulable Epic resources
Documentation & Training:
* Maintain security documentation including build guides and user/security matrices
* Train junior analysts and operational staff on security practices and procedures
Compliance & Governance:
* Support identity governance initiatives and multi-factor authentication
* Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory standards
* Engage in process improvement projects to enhance security operations
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field
* Epic Security Certification (e.g., Epic Security Coordinator) preferred
* 3-5 years of experience in healthcare IT, with at least 2-3 years focused on Epic security
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
* Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions and security auditing
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
