Required Skills and Experience
* High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree in IT preferred.
* Familiarity with Cisco networks and security tools.
* Basic troubleshooting experience with network and server issues.
* Hands-on experience with configuring network performance for backup operations.
* Knowledge of network redundancy planning for disaster recovery.
* Experience troubleshooting networking issues during large-scale data processes.
* Familiarity with Cisco firewalls in a backup environment.
* Strong documentation skills for network disaster recovery procedures.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot and manage network-related failover processes.
* Ability to innovate and propose projects that enhance network performance and security.
* Familiarity with inter-agency network connections and compliance with security standards.
* Work collaboratively to respond to client requests and assist with deployments as required.
* Availability for on-call rotation and project management support.
Primary Responsibilities
* Experience in monitoring and supporting the Cisco network infrastructure, ensuring secure communication for SunGuide, Nutanix clusters, Microsoft Windows Server, and ITS field devices.
* Basic security knowledge is required for handling security system and network security tasks.
* Manage Cisco Next Gen firewalls and ISE.
* Monitor network performance and ITS device communications.
* Perform basic security scans and server maintenance tasks.
* Assist in disaster recovery planning, focusing on networking continuity.
* Conduct network audits to ensure optimal backup performance between datacenters.
* Implement and troubleshoot network security measures during backup and recovery processes.
* Collaborate with the systems team to ensure seamless integration of network and server backup operations.
* Manage inter-agency network security and ensure secure data flows.
* Propose and implement network improvements and collaborate with management on innovation projects.
* Support Active Directory, DNS, and time services, ensuring network services are available and secure.
* Experience in providing on-call support for network-related issues, including troubleshooting failover management and on-call rotation.
* Assist in inventory management.
