JOB SUMMARY
This position safeguards UT Southwestern's cloud infrastructure, data, and applications by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks. In addition, ensures compliance with all relevant international, federal, and state regulatory requirements and standards, and assists in the implementation of cloud security controls and governance processes. The role requires close collaboration with Information Resources, research, and compliance teams to protect against cyber threats.
This role requires living in the DFW area and being able to come into the office as needed. NO relocation package.

Required
- Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience
5 years relevant experience in any Information Security discipline
- Licenses and Certifications
Current professional certification such as CEH, CISA, CISM, GSEC, CASP, GCIH, CISSP CGRC, CSSLP, ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP, CCSP, SSCP, or OSCP Upon Hire
- Education
Associate's Degree or better in any program from an accredited university or college.
- Experience
Proficient or experienced with Proofpoint PPS/PoD
Experience with CASB, CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) systems.
Experience with ServiceNow.
Automation experience; any platform.
Experience working in academic medical centers and/or hospital systems.
Experience in evaluating cloud platforms and familiarity with different cloud security strategies.
Experience with creating visualizations and charts to analyze data and communicate information.
- Cloud Security Operations
- Operates and maintains cloud security tools, including Secure Email Gateway, CASB/CSPM, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems.
- Collaborates with IT and development teams, providers, and researchers to prioritize and remediate security concerns or impacts, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with security policies.
- Supports incident response activities, providing cloud-specific expertise and assisting with root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Assists with litigation hold and eDiscovery requests for cloud-stored data.
- Maintains accurate documentation of cloud configurations, policies, and rule sets.
- Advises on new cloud implementations and migrations, recommending secure architectures and configurations.
- Contributes to daily security operations, including inquiries, service requests, and security project work.
- Stays current on emerging cloud threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends; recommends improvements to UT Southwestern?s cloud security program.
- General Security Operations
- Expected to assist in work inquiries, service requests, and projects associated with day-to-day operations by constituents.
- Continuing Education
- Recommend and implement improvements to the cloud security program.
- Maintenance of professional certification as applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
