Our client is looking for Sr. Project Manager for a Merger and Acquisition effort.
This role requires an experienced Project Manager with 5+ years leading complex IT initiatives and several years managing M&A integration projects. The ideal candidate is fluent in both Waterfall and Agile, understands financial modeling, valuation concepts, and legal due diligence, and has strong knowledge of IT systems integration and data migration.
Candidate must excel at coordinating cross functional due diligence, developing integration roadmaps, managing risks, and producing clear executive level summaries.
The role involves facilitating meetings with senior leaders, driving adoption of new processes post acquisition, supporting training and communication plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
Experience managing dispersed teams, third party vendors, tight deadlines, and project management software is essential, along with strong stakeholder communication and advanced project scheduling skills.
Required Skills:
Must have 5+ years' experience in a Project Management role
Must have experience managing IT projects and multiple years' experience managing M&A integration projects
Experience with both Waterfall and Agile is ideal
Experience/familiarity with financial modeling, valuation concepts, and legal due diligence is ideal
Knowledge of IT systems integration and data migration is ideal
Must be able to manage and coordinate due diligence and an integration roadmap across finance, legal, HR, IT, and operations
Must be able to maintain secure data rooms and manage access controls for sensitive information
Must be able to consolidate information into clear, actionable summaries for executive review
Must be able to do integration planning to identify major system, process, and cultural considerations
Must have experience developing roadmaps for post-close activities
Must be able to identify potential risks early and propose mitigation strategies
Must be able to facilitate meetings with business leaders to identify tasks, dependencies, and milestones and provide executive dashboards==
Must be able to drive adoption of new processes and systems post-acquisition
Must be able to facilitate training and communication plans for impacted teams
Must be able to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards
Must be able to maintain accurate documentation for audit and legal purposes
Experience managing 3rd party vendor relationships is ideal but not necessarily required
Will need to be able to manage project teams that are dispersed across the US and some overseas
Must have experience working with project management software
Must be able to effectively manage tight project deadlines and dependencies across a large project
Must be able to proactively reach out and communicate with stakeholders
Must have experience dealing with executive level stakeholders
Must have strong experience with project plan scheduling
Must have strong experience with risk management
