JOB DESCRIPTION

Apex is seeking a very strong, highly experienced executive-level consulting professional to join the US & Canada practice within Apex' Solutions Delivery Organization to support the Energy Industry. This individual must have demonstrated Energy Industry-specific skills and ability to sell and deliver consulting services to enterprise-level clients in that industry.

This role will be responsible for selling and subsequently executing executive-level, high-value consulting services, and will be instrumental in developing future business within one or more accounts. This role will also provide subject matter expertise in energy/commodity trading and risk management commercial applications such as Endur, RightAngle, and Allegro. The ideal candidate will excel in technical leadership and oversight of development and managed services, and developing go-to-market strategies for E/CTRM solutions. This role works directly with Account Managers, Engagement Managers, Client Directors, Solutions and Practice Consultants to develop, propose, sell, and deliver solutions for Energy Industry clients.

You will be a part of the proposal and delivery teams for technology services engagements by partnering with clients to define their technical vision and develop the solution, as well as deliver and/or oversee the solution.

Delivery:

o Lead team members in the design, development, and integration of E/CTRM solutions for Energy clients.

o Manage and deliver projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

o Develop strong client relationships as trusted executive advisor.

o Continually innovate, seek creative solutions, and find new ways of adding value.

o Listen and seek to understand the client and meet their needs, providing consultative guidance. Proactively provide solutions and approach adversity with a solution-focused mindset.

o Consistently exceed utilization targets by being billable to clients while managing internal and external responsibilities.

Sales:

o Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for ETRM solutions.

o Lead internal strategy to advance our ETRM capabilities and Supply & Trading offerings.

o Support sales efforts by providing technical expertise and demonstrating the value of our solutions.

o Collaborate internally with Apex Account Teams, Solution Leaders, Industry Leaders, Practice Leaders, and others to develop Energy Industry-specific business.

o Grow and develop Apex Systems' executive-level, high value ETRM solution sales with Enterprise Level Clients utilizing exceptional skills in consulting, written and verbal communication, relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal communication, persuasion, problem solving, analysis, management, leadership, and executive presence.

o Stay attuned to the future needs of the client and work with Apex internal resources such as engagement management to identify new opportunities.

Serve as a subject matter expert internally and externally in ETRM. Build trust and respect among internal and external stakeholders and model collaborative teamwork.

Represent Apex Systems as a leader within Industry and Professional events and communities.

Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to acquire skills to meet business needs.

This role may be responsible for managing hybrid project teams consisting of Apex Contract Employees, Internal Apex employees, client employees and external vendors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

10+ years professional experience in software development and engineering.

8+ years of experience across the entire trading lifecycle in all areas of commercial operations, including front, middle, and back office business processes

5+ years of hands-on experience in E/CTRM configuration, development, & integration

Experience in system integration planning and testing, and creation of test cases for functional and UAT scenarios.

Strong experience in business analysis and requirements gathering for both functional and technical requirements.

Extensive experience in scoping, estimation, presenting solutions, and leading technology teams & projects related to ETRM version upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.

Exceptional skills in consulting, written and verbal communication, negotiation, interpersonal communication, persuasion, problem solving, analysis, management, leadership, and engagement delivery.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, navigating high pressure, challenging situations professionally and with poise.

Strong coaching/mentorship/leadership skills working with global delivery teams.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to challenges.

Ability to handle ambiguity and navigate complex client environments.

Proven experience owning executive level, high value consulting services sales.

Positive relationship builder able to navigate through complex situations to ensure the most robust and pragmatic solution.

Aptitude to quickly identify gaps and risks.

Ability to present complex concepts to engineering and business partners.

The following skills are preferred:

o Experience with data management and business analysis.

o Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.

o Extensive experience working with global integrated oil and gas companies.

Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
