About the Opportunity:

FedTec is seeking Network Technician/Network Administrator. to support the monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network, server, and application infrastructure. This role involves Tier II support, customer service, equipment inspections, and maintaining detailed technical documentation. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in IP networking, DNS, scripting, and network tools such as Cisco ISE, SolarWinds, and Splunk.

Position : Network Technician/Network Administrator.

Location: Anderson, SC

Shift - Night shift 6:00PM - 6:00AM; 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off. Schedule will allow for every other weekend off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitors Clemson network, server, and application elements, resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies simple state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve the network control center.
  • Control network and system processing. Responds to customer inquiries and alters via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins. Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities. Other operational duties as assigned, such as meetings, project work, administration and facilities requirements.
  • Configure network and system resources and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides Tier II support as per SME agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches.
  • Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and the knowledge base. Participates in training and cross-training for the Tier II. Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years IP Network Troubleshooting
  • 3+ years DNS configuration
  • 3+ years Understanding of monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds)
  • 2+ years ServiceNow ITSM Tool
  • 2+ years Server Batch Scripting.
  • 2+ years Cisco Network Tools (ISE, Catalyst)
  • 2+ years Technical writing experience
