Our client is seeking a skilled Real Estate Valuation Officer to support its Credit Risk Management team in either Novato, CA or Rancho Cordova, CA. This role plays a key part in the Appraisal Department, handling the ordering, reviewing, and evaluating of real estate secured credit appraisals. You'll serve as a liaison between external appraisers and internal lending teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective valuation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order and review appraisals for real estate-secured loans
  • Prepare property evaluations per regulatory and internal standards
  • Collaborate with internal loan officers and external appraisers
  • Provide guidance on appraisal requirements, value determinations, and compliance matters

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2 4 years of experience in real estate valuation, appraisal, or related credit risk function
  • Associate s degree (or higher) in real estate, finance, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Certified General Appraiser License in the state of California is mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of appraisal regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
