RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Enterprise Storage Administrator in Phoenix, AZ. This is a one-year contract assignment. Onsite interviews and five days a week working onsite in downtown Phoenix are required.
Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Enterprise Storage Administrator to manage and enhance our storage environment using a variety of tools and technologies. This role is critical to ensuring system visibility, rapid issue detection, and effective response coordination across infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, configure, secure, and maintain highly available enterprise data storage systems
* Proactively monitor storage systems and generate utilization reports to identify and resolve issues
* Troubleshoot performance problems on FC network and NAS storage systems, applying long-term solutions
* Refresh data across environments per application or service owner requests
* Develop and maintain SOPs and documentation that support repeatable processes and rationale
* Publish team-approved storage standards and policies
* Follow ITIL practices for Change Management
* Work across multiple vendor hardware and software platforms
* Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts tailored to user and departmental needs
* Create and manage documentation templates for SOPs and knowledge transfer
* Perform daily health checks of storage, network, and server environments
* Schedule and execute system reboots or failovers for patching or outages
* Manage incoming ServiceNow tickets related to monitoring and storage issues
* Open vendor support cases as needed
* Collaborate with internal teams, management, and vendors to resolve issues
* Participate in meetings to promote observability services
* Provide regular status updates and maintain clear communication regarding system health
REQUIREMENTS:
Technical Expertise:
* Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms
* Strong understanding of storage, network, server, and application principles
* Proficiency in fiber channel and NAS technologies
* Familiarity with server and networking technologies
Operational Skills:
* Experience performing daily system health checks and managing patching/maintenance
* Proficiency with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
Collaboration & Communication:
* Strong interpersonal skills; Able to work with technical and non-technical teams
* Ability to document processes and facilitate knowledge sharing
Preferred Qualifications:
* SNIA and vendor-specific storage certifications
* Advanced experience with Cisco MDS and Broadcom Brocade fiber channel infrastructure
* Experience with VMware, Microsoft, and Linux server environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
