Role Summary
We are seeking a senior Finance and Logistics Domain Expert who can quickly understand complex business problems, think on their feet, and engage confidently with Business Function Leaders and C-Suite executives. This role requires the ability to translate data into insights, insights into compelling business cases, and business cases into well-defined, high-impact projects. The ideal candidate combines deep domain expertise, strong analytical rigor, and executive presence with the agility to respond effectively in dynamic, high-stakes discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive & Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a trusted thought partner to Business Function Leaders and C-Suite members (CFO, COO, CIO, etc.)
* Rapidly grasp business context and priorities during executive discussions and respond with clarity and confidence.
* Think on their feet to address unstructured questions, challenge assumptions, and reframe problems in real time.
* Present insights, recommendations, and trade-offs in a concise, executive-ready manner.
* Build alignment and sponsorship for cross-functional initiatives.
Domain & Business Expertise
* Act as a subject matter expert across Finance (e.g., FP&A, costing, profitability, working capital) and Logistics/Supply Chain (e.g., transportation, warehousing, inventory, order fulfillment).
* Understand end-to-end business processes and identify inefficiencies, risks, and value-creation opportunities.
* Partner with business leaders to align analytical initiatives with strategic priorities.
Analytics & Insight Generation
* Analyze complex, multi-source datasets to uncover trends, drivers, and root causes.
* Translate data into clear, decision-ready insights using structured analytical frameworks.
* Define meaningful KPIs and metrics to track financial and operational performance.
Business Case Development
* Convert insights into quantified business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, ROI, risk assessment, and implementation effort.
* Clearly articulate the "why," "what," and "how" of proposed initiatives to executive and stakeholder audiences.
* Support prioritization decisions based on value, feasibility, and strategic impact.
Project & Initiative Translation
* Translate approved business cases into well-scoped projects with clear objectives, success metrics, and delivery plans.
* Collaborate with technology, data, and operations teams to ensure accurate requirements and practical solutions.
* Support execution by providing domain guidance, validating outputs, and ensuring business outcomes are realized.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Serve as a bridge between business, analytics, and delivery teams.
* Communicate complex concepts in a simple, compelling manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Influence decision-making through facts, logic, and clarity of thought.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
* 8 12+ years of experience in Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related analytics/business transformation roles.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and derive actionable insights.
* Proven experience building business cases and driving initiatives from concept to execution.
* Solid understanding of financial modeling, cost structures, and operational metrics.
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Experience working with data platforms, BI tools, or advanced analytics teams.
* Exposure to digital transformation, analytics, or AI-driven initiatives in Finance or Logistics.
* Project or product ownership experience (formal project management certification is a plus).
* Consulting or CoE experience driving cross-functional initiatives is advantageous.
