Location: Irvine, CA (3 days onsite)

What are the top 3-5 skills, experience or education required for this position:
  • 2-4 years of experience with SharePoint, building sites or administration
  • 2-4 years professional experience in at least one of the following roles: Functional Systems Administrator / Configuration Manager / Solution Architect / Project Manager / Consultant / Trainer
  • [Preferably] 1-2 years of experience administering Atlassian products (primarily Confluence or Jira)

Technical Systems Administrator / Trainer (Contractor)
  • We re looking for a Contractor role for a Technical Systems Administrator / Trainer who will be responsible for the development, management, and operations of our SharePoint sites as well as help administer our Atlassian instance.
  • This role is key in providing technical support, guidance, and mentoring for our cross functional team members.
  • The Technical Systems Admin will work with users of the tools to support adoption, enhancements, use, and navigation of the solutions.
  • They will also develop training materials and lead training sessions, promoting user onboarding and skillset development for the tools.
  • They will proactively work with the different business units to identify needs and help create new processes and scale up existing ones.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint, Atlassian products and is interested in working in a high energy, creative, and collaborative environment.
  • They enjoy wearing many hats, are a people-person and a problem solver.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Collaborate with Business Technology and Implementation partners to understand how AbbVie's SharePoint platform works and what areas of opportunity and customization are available.
  • Working with the different business units to customize and build folder structures, SharePoint sites and help build a tools eco-system.
  • Be the gatekeeper for our Atlassian and SharePoint instances with responsibility to ensure systems operation, content quality and implementation (and refinement) of processes and workflow adjustments
  • Run weekly, monthly and ad hoc metric reports for management and business teams to measure systems performance and other KPIs
  • Design workflows, standards, processes and set goals that will leverage the systems
  • Translate business requirements into workflow improvements within the systems
  • Gather input from user groups to assess potential integrations of additional platforms and tools
  • Partner with IT professionals to ensure systems functions properly, updates are applied and tested, and new functionalities are tested and implemented.
  • Manage special operations assignments, which can include but are not limited to training and development, project management, executing reporting
  • Ongoing training of users and support of the systems
  • Maintain relationships with tool vendors, specifically on technical support and training issues. Act as project point-of-contact for communication.
  • Train team on proper usage and best practices of the systems
