Job Summary:
The Client is seeking an experienced Electronic Health Records (EHR) Data Integration Specialist to support seamless data exchange between VADOC systems and external agencies, including public and private sector partners. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and enhancing EHR-related applications and ensuring compliance with Client Standard and ITU development protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data integrations between Client systems and external stakeholders to support EHR functionality.
- Ensure compliance with Client standards and ITU best practices for data warehouse, database, and application development.
- Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of internally developed or vendor-supported applications.
- Review, analyze, modify, and create SSRS reports to meet the reporting needs of the agency.
- Provide data analysis and reporting services to meet organizational business requirements, particularly in leveraging data from the Data Warehouse.
- Work closely with business units to support data maintenance, identify data quality issues, and ensure the integrity of EHR data.
- Develop a detailed understanding of functional business processes within supported Client units.
- Produce high-quality deliverables aligned with user requirements and ITU standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues, develop documentation, and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in data integration, EHR systems, or healthcare IT environments.
- Experience with SSRS report development and SQL Server tools.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and reporting services.
- Familiarity with state government IT standards and project management protocols.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a correctional or public health environment.
- Knowledge of HL7/FHIR or healthcare-specific data integration protocols.
- Prior experience working with external vendors on data-related projects.
- Experience in supporting data governance and data quality initiatives.
