Job Description:
- Assist with HPLC analysis of materials.
- Support routine sample preparation and characterization.
- Comply with laboratory safety procedures.
- OpeXX and run sample characterization instrumentation.
- Apply sound scientific methods to solve technical problems.
- Assist with qualifying new active ingredient and raw material sources and support shelf-life extensions for existing products.
- Conduct experiments and handle laboratory equipment in a research lab setting.
- Perform activities based on lab focus areas such as formulation or active ingredient support.
- Check in samples and maintain sample inventory.
- Weigh samples and maintain laboratory records.
- Ensure attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in all tasks.
- Prior experience in research or manufacturing/engineering.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Experience in a chemistry lab is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate information and share data with stakeholders.
- Experience:
- Lab equipment and techniques knowledge required.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in research or manufacturing/engineering lab environments.
- Follow safety and compliance protocols, including EH&S standards and PPE usage.
- Document results effectively and maintain good organization.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Experience in formulation design and development is desirable.
- Familiarity with analytical purification techniques is desirable.
- Ability to manage laboratory instrument upkeep and troubleshooting.
- Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to deliver support within timelines to meet project goals.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, team-based environment.
- Customer-focused mindset to build strong relationships and deliver solutions.
- BS in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related STEM fields).
