Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for Requirements, Analysis, and high-level Design, Development for our Oracle Database Development and Enablement Team and the Operations Experience Product Area. You represent the team on large- and small- scale projects, while also working on individual tasks and support requests. You should enjoy collaborating in-person with leadership and teammates in our NC location, along with partners and teammates across the globe. You should have strong systems analysis experience, along with good communications skills and a team-first approach.

Rate: $50 - $60 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Performing technical and functional analysis for analyzing and developing the best delivery approaches based on requirements, swarming and iterating with teammates and your squad leader as needed
  • Providing original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts and critical initiatives
  • Desire to understand all phases of testing leading to final implementation, including unit, integration, acceptance testing and production install validation
  • Creating and maintaining clear and concise user documentation and status
  • Providing high-level application support, problem diagnosis, and resolution, supporting the on-call developers
  • Provide systems analysis support on an Agile team that includes multiple business and technology partners (cross business unit, cross domain).
  • Collaborate with multiple other Agile teams (Scaled Agile) to lead dependencies and scope.
  • Work with business and technology partners to define the scope of problems/issues, in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes.
  • Work with Agile team to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and story maps.
  • Lead backlog refinement sessions. Translate complex business needs into clear, practical, requirements/user stories. Research and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Evaluate design of existing systems to judge their functionality, efficiency, reliability, performance, usage, maintainability, and cost of ownership.
  • Collaborate with Agile team members to build comprehensive and cohesive solution approaches.
  • Assist in devising the Agile team's analysis strategy.
  • Provide support in estimating, planning, scheduling, and prioritizing work.
  • Apply documentation standards and procedures.


Experience Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst in software application development with experience writing and executing SQL queries
  • Experience in analysis in some or all of PL/SQL, Java, Spring Framework, Cloud applications (AWS), and REST/SOAP Web Services preferred
  • Prior experience with Production Support activities is a plus
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is a plus
  • Proactive, organized, highly responsive and committed to quality
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication is a must
  • Robust critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Confidence to convey technical concepts, capabilities and needs to team members, product owners and other internal partners
  • Deep understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to distill business processes and objectives into well-defined epics/stories/requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills to effectively tackle complex business problems
  • Ability to work through ambiguous situations by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience, and judgment
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery is a plus
  • Relevant experience in various systems analysis methodologies, including data analysis, data mapping, flowcharts, uses case development, story writing, set-up / configuration of systems, gap analysis, user acceptance testing and product documentation
  • Working knowledge of Splunk and Datadog is a plus
  • Working knowledge of REST, JSON, and APIs is a plus
