Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Utilize established tools such as Jira and Figma to define innovative solutions within a product model and leveraging agile-like methodologies.
  • Integrate human-centered design principles to ensure user needs and perspectives are prioritized throughout the digital product development lifecycle.
  • Tackle specific product challenges, including process optimization or enhancing user engagement, based on guidance from team leads or managers.
  • Clearly and confidently articulate the rationale behind design choices to team members, balancing business objectives and technical limitations.
  • Actively participate in meetings, contributing insights and ideas that drive progress, while collaborating effectively within the immediate product team and across assigned teams.
  • Exemplify leadership competencies: Model the Way, Rally the Team, and Deliver Outcomes.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, exceptional employee engagement, and a strong commitment to clients. Support a culture that reflects core values while maintaining trust and reputation with clients.

Audience Interaction and Influence:
  • Collaborate closely with fellow design team members.
  • Engage with Product Managers, Design Managers, and Engineering Managers during working sessions and presentations.


Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Web Product Design, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience, including 1 plus years focusing on user experience, interaction design, product innovation, and research in a product development setting.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to the design and development of launched digital products.
  • Strong proficiency with industry-standard design processes and best practices, emphasizing effective and scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and justify design decisions with confidence.
  • Solid understanding of human-centered design principles as applied to digital product creation.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional peers.
  • Ability to consider business needs and technical constraints in design decisions.
  • Foundational knowledge of how to utilize a design system.
  • Familiarity with agile workflows and methodologies.

Preferred:
  • Experience within the diversified financial services sector is a plus.
  • Advanced understanding of design systems and their application across multiple digital products.
  • Knowledge of human factors, their impact on ROI, and the digital product lifecycle, along with familiarity with user research methodologies and applications.
