Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in software development across multiple technology stacks, including Java and .NET. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in TAS (Tanzu Application Service), OpenShift migration, and DevOps toolchains. This role is pivotal in driving our cloud transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless migration and integration of applications, and enhancing our DevOps practices. The candidate must be hands on to take on a challenging time sensitive migration of large portfolio of application components.

Mandatory Experience - The candidate will focus on enabling multi-stack application migration to Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and migrating CI/CD pipelines, modernizing batch jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Migration: Architect and execute the migration of applications to cloud platforms, specifically focusing on OpenShift and TAS. Develop migration strategies, assess application readiness, and ensure minimal disruption during migration.

DevOps Toolchain: Implement and manage DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines

Platform Integration: Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure seamless integration and post-migration support. Provide technical guidance and support to ensure successful deployment and operation of cloud-native applications.

Team Enablement: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and ensure the team is equipped with the

Technical Expertise:

8 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture roles.

Hands on experience in Java, .NET, UI (Angular, React) technologies to support application changes required for migrations from TAS to OpenShift.

Hands-on experience with TAS (Tanzu Application Service) and OpenShift.

Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices.

Strong understanding of Load Balancing strategies (RoundRobin, Topology, Canary) required to support application migration / cutover.

Proven experience in migrating applications to cloud platforms, particularly OpenShift and TAS.

Ability to develop and execute comprehensive migration strategies.

Proficiency in application architecture involving complex integrations such as Messaging (Kafka, MQ), Caching (Redis), File transfer (NDM), File storage (

Extensive experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.

Extensive experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, and Helm.

Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
