Job Details
Summary: Responsible for the development, performance, integrity, and security of database and POS systems. Provide general support, administration, and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Managing Centaman Online Integration, including the integration of new programs,
events, ticketing, etc.
2. Review possible POS systems and determine the right fit
keeping in mind the future expansion
3. Oversee training of Department Head and key staff on database / POS operations
4. Monitor database performance, conduct regular performance tuning, and optimize
queries for maximum efficiency.
5. Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools.
6. Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data
reliability and minimize downtime.
7. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as database backups, index rebuilding, and
statistics gathering.
8. Lead development of strategy, planning and execution of websites' functionality,
content, features and overall direction
9. Monitor and report POS and website's functionality, performance and analytics -
provide recommendations and take action as needed to increase performance.
10. Keep up-to-date with the latest best practices for internet, WWW, E-Commerce, and
security techniques to improve results
11. Apply any coding recommendations and optimizations.
12. Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Center.
13. Other duties as required to fulfill the duties of the position.
Qualifications:
? A minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience as Database Administrator
? Proven experience managing multiple projects
? Working knowledge of POS System Databases used for museums and other attractions
? A working understanding of the web including HTTP/S, HTML, JavaScript
? Experience working within ecommerce / digital background
? Demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills.
? Must be able to work weekends/holidays
? Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and bend without restrictions.
? Must have valid driver's license and dependable transportation with active insurance.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
