Job Overview: Thinking Minds Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to contribute to our team. As a Data Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in machine learning, statistical data analytics, and predictive analytics to develop and implement innovative data solutions for diverse datasets within the Department of Defense (DoD). The role involves working with structured and unstructured data derived from information advantage activities supporting multi-domain operations, with a hybrid work model involving on-site customer support.

Responsibilities:

• Apply machine learning, data mining, and predictive analytics techniques to create and implement data solutions for various DoD datasets.
• Innovate methodologies for extracting key parameters from structured and unstructured data obtained from different sensors.
• Utilize the latest technologies to correlate disparate datasets and events, deriving valuable insights.
• Conduct data mining, natural language processing, and sentiment analysis on social media datasets.
• Systematically design analytical approaches and coordinate input from various sources, including subject matter experts.
• Define the problem's nature and clarify issues through extensive coordination, research, and data collection.
• Provide expert judgment on model credibility, responsiveness to objectives, and soundness of analytical techniques.
• Prepare reports and briefings summarizing results derived from documentation, assumptions, facts, and approaches.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Experience & Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship and a current Secret or TS clearance are required.
• 9 years of experience in Data Science or a related field with a Bachelor's degree; 7 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; or 13 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong familiarity with machine learning, data mining, and related analytics methods.
• Proficiency in mathematical programming languages such as Python and R, along with their data science libraries.
• Experience with business intelligence tools, including Jupyter, Tableau, and Amazon Sagemaker.
• Familiarity with scalable distributed data processing, management, and visualization tools.
• Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role with on-site customer interaction.
