Job Details
This company is a well-known American image sharing and social media service designed to enable saving and discovery of information (specifically "ideas") on the internet using images and, on a smaller scale, animated GIFs and videos. Hiring for a Software Devops Engineer who is fluent with Mandarin.
This position is a 6 month contract with potential for extension. It is a hybrid position (2 day on-site in Mtnvw and 3 days WFH).
Qualification
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into efficient and robust code.
Implement best practices in coding, testing, and debugging, adhering to the company's coding standards.
Work closely with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to integrate microservices into the Kubernetes ecosystem.
Ensure the scalability and performance of microservices in a distributed environment.
Utilize OOP concepts such as inheritance, encapsulation, and polymorphism to create modular and maintainable code.

Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development with a strong focus on OOP principles.
- Extensive experience working with microservices architecture, preferably in a Kubernetes environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Continuous learning mindset with a willingness to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
