Job Title:- PeopleSoft Finance and General Ledger Lead
Location:- Bridgewater, NJ (Hybrid)
Duration:- Contract to hire
Job Description
Reporting to the PeopleSoft Lead, the PeopleSoft Finance & General Ledger lead will be responsible for high level support of the Finance and General Ledger modules providing maintenance, support, and improvements.
This role will support USA and Western Europe PSFT Finance. It will be supported by third party Application Managed Support teams offshore. The AMS team manages the routine tasks and queries and they would defer to this role if there were an issue that needs assistance. This would suit someone with an analytical mind that takes ownership of tasks and sees them to completion.
The role is a contract to hire. The current individual in this role is retiring in early 2026 so there would be ample time for knowledge transfer. The company is eventually moving to SAP, and if there is interest and a fit there is a possibility this role will transition to a full time one in the SAP environment.

- SQL Skills preferred

- Peoplesoft AR, Inventory, Asset Management, Project Costing
- Financial experience or good understanding of financial matters
- Good Analytical Skills
- UK and European VAT knowledge preferred
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Accountable for ensuring the maintenance of the GL, identifying any issues brought to their attention
- Collaborate with business finance stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and work to resolution, delegating as necessary to offshore teams
- Collaborate with other process leads on VAT changes, or any other cross module changes required
- Work on preparing data for the transition to SAP
- Assist with testing efforts, both for PeopleSoft and SAP if required
- Troubleshoot development and production application problems
- Perform high level month end and year end checks on the GL to ensure batches have completed successfully
- Build relationships with Business Users and advise on requests for reports, audits or changes
- Gather information from meetings with Business Users and produce output as required.
- Prioritise requests and create change requests if needed
- Provide Business Users operations support on how to complete tasks if required.
- Develop strong working relationships with the EMEA and Global Peoplesoft teams as well as other members in IT and the business
