Microsoft ' s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I Electrical Engineer, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Electrical Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a proactive desire and capability to learn, grow, and develop new skills.
- Promote a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of data center operations.
- Collaborate with commissioning teams toproperly test and validate the installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
- Understand the design, functionality, and operational requirements of your data center.
- Support 24x7x365 on-site data center operations andelectrical
- Serve as the technical authority for on-site operations related to large-scale, mission-critical electrical systems - including design and functionality.
- Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, ensuring highly redundant electrical designs are
- Manage electrical infrastructure across the data center campus, ranging from a single large-capacity facility to multiple smaller sites.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience ORBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years' experience with Power Systems in acritical industry (e.g. 3 phase/single phase transformers, low voltage switchgear, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS's), arc-flash studies, breakers etc.).
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of Critical Environment experience.
- 1+ years' project management experience
- Demonstrated understanding of applicable regional electrical code (NEC, CEC, ETCI, NF C, ).
