Location: Memphis, TN

Role and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, configure, and maintain both the Splunk Core and Observability platform
  • Develop and manage integrations between Splunk Core and Observability platform, and other relevant IT monitoring, logging, and ITSM tools.
  • Develop and implement automation workflows and runbooks within both AIOps platforms to streamline incident management and remediation processes.
  • Collaborate with various IT teams (monitoring, application, infrastructure, security, operations) to understand their AIOps requirements and translate them into effective solutions on both platforms.
  • Define and enforce best practices for the configuration, utilization, and administration of both Splunk CORE and Observability platform
  • Troubleshoot issues related to platform performance, data ingestion, correlation logic, integrations, and automation within both environments.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, integrations, workflows, and operational procedures for both Splunk CORE and Observability platform
  • Develop and implement metrics and dashboards within both platforms to provide visibility into IT health, incident trends, and the effectiveness of AIOps implementations.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of both Splunk CORE and Observability platform and their integrations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in a technical role focused on AIOps platforms, event management, or systems integration, with specific experience in both Splunk CORE and Observability platform.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and administering both Splunk CORE and Observability platform in a production environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of IT monitoring tools, logging systems, and ITSM platforms.
  • Understanding of ITIL frameworks and incident management processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Deep hands-on expertise in configuring and managing the Splunk CORE and Observability platform.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in configuring and managing the Splunk CORE and Observability platform.
  • Strong understanding of AIOps concepts, machine learning algorithms used for event correlation, and noise reduction techniques within both platforms.
  • Proven ability to integrate both Splunk CORE and Observability platform with various IT systems using APIs and other integration methods.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills across both AIOps platforms.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Shell) for automating tasks within and around both platforms.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse technical teams.
  • Ability to document technical solutions clearly and concisely for both platforms.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Good to Have Skills

  • Experience with other AIOps platforms or event management tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their monitoring and event management services, and how they integrate with Splunk CORE and Observability platform.
  • Understanding of security best practices for AIOps platforms and integrations.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
