Position Title: Civil Engineering Inspector

Location: Fargo, ND, USA

Will work 90% in field; 10% in office

Experienced required

• Degree in a Civil Engineering field or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field is desired; not required.
• Two years experience in inspection and field work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations
• Experience on large construction projects an asset.

Responsibilities

The Civil Engineering Inspector is responsible for:

• Provide inspections related to construction installation and progress.
• Ensure that construction, operations, and maintenance works related to civil and structural works are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
• Review all essential contract documents and project-specific plans and monitor contractor compliance.
• Perform field inspections as required and maintain inspection records.
• Submit inspections for each daily site visit.
• Participate in final site walk-downs and identify major & minor deficiencies for correction actions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Self-motivated and able to work efficiently with a minimum of supervision in the office and on-field assignments.
• Ability to work in a team, demonstrating leadership and organizational capabilities.
• Effectively communicate both verbal and written.
• Able to use an electronic data management system related to this work.
• Proficient in windows.
