Job Title: Systems Software Programmer Consultant
Duration: 6 Months

The consultant will provide expert-level SharePoint and Power Platform development services to support modernization, automation, and optimization of the SharePoint environment. This includes integration with Microsoft 365 services and development of custom solutions aligned with business goals and compliance standards.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities- Lead maintenance and enhancements of the intranet including analysis, requirements gathering, systems and UI/UX design, planning, and development.
- Manage site provisioning, web parts, workflows, and branding.
- Leverage M365 tools (MS Power Suite, MS Teams, SharePoint) to enhance collaboration.
- Design and implement PowerApps and Power Automate flows to automate business processes.
- Develop solutions that are accessible and user-friendly across desktop and mobile.
- Create technical documentation for help desk and technicians to support ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with system administrators to ensure proper security controls are in place.
- Maximize security using industry best practices and compliance standards.
- Develop user documentation and training materials.
- Conduct meetings with IT teams, business staff, and vendor partners.
- Lead technical workshops and knowledge transfer sessions on SharePoint and Power Platform.
- Provide governance best practices for SharePoint and Power Platform.
- Support DevOps-based environment management (DEV, TEST, UAT, PROD) with controlled releases.
- Submit weekly status reports to management.
- 10+ years of SharePoint development experience.
- Proficiency in SharePoint Online and Office 365, including features, functionality, and capabilities.
- Experience designing and developing intranets with SharePoint 365, including custom layouts and features.
- Expertise in customizing SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts.
- Strong experience with Office 365 Power Suite (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps).
- Advanced programming skills in C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of information architecture principles for organizing and structuring intranet content.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards for SharePoint Online.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders and train end-users.
- Proven problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Experience implementing personalization features such as content targeting, dashboards, and notifications.
- Strong UI/UX design knowledge.
- Effective interpersonal skills, proactive and self-motivated.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology Management, or related discipline; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Online
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Developer Associate
- Equivalent Microsoft certifications
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot integrations.
- Ability to design M365 adoption strategies and roadmap development.
- Knowledge of gamification principles and ability to incorporate gamified elements into intranets to improve user engagement and collaboration.
