Position: Application Specialist I (Contract) Location: Remote (Mountain Standard Time Arizona)
Position Summary:
The Application Specialist I (Contract) supports live application software critical to business operations. This role handles incidents escalated from the IT service desk and fulfills application-specific service requests. You ll be responsible for diagnosing issues, resolving them directly, or managing them through to resolution within defined service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve application-related incidents
- Fulfill standard and ad-hoc service requests
- Prioritize work to minimize business disruption
- Apply temporary fixes and workarounds to maintain functionality and security
- Update the knowledge base to support future issue resolution
- Communicate new or ongoing issues clearly and promptly to stakeholders
- Perform after-hours data changes on production systems as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and processes
- Familiarity with knowledge management systems and best practices
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in a virtual or remote environment
- Understanding of incident and problem management techniques
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience supporting technology systems
- SQL skills to retrieve and update data
