Job Details

Job Title: Senior Vendor Relations Manager



Location: Chesterfield, MO (Remote)



Working: Almost all remote, work in the office every other Tuesday



Duration: ongoing long-term contract




Primary Function:

  • Manages the relationships between MTS and external vendors
  • Administers the contracts with hardware and software vendors (can be assigned up to 40 at a time)
  • Collects information about external marketplace and services as a resource on this knowledge to the organization
  • Provides information and advice about technology vendors, offerings, and options
  • May interact with vendor to resolve escalated problems and plan for future releases of software

Capabilities:

  • Process financial transactions to IT vendors and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Evaluate requests to determine user requirements
  • Processes and coordinates requests with vendors under the established contract
  • Tracks requests and maintains records

Problem Solving/Resolution:

  • Resolves specialized or complex problems by identifying and executing a course of action aligned with, but specifically outlines in the structure problem resolution process

Business Acumen:

  • Specific knowledge of company and industry as a result of several years of experience in similar settings

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Responsible to the customer by being available, accessible, and responsive. Accountable for addressing customer needs through individual action with a "warm handoff" Having general knowledge of customer needs and the ability to select or identify a specific course of action to address the needs
