Sr Unreal Engineer

Unreal Engine Developer needed for Full Time, Direct Hire opportunity with Randstad Digitals client in Orange County, CA.

Our client is the maker of a number of top games and they are working on their next hit RPG. They are looking for an Unreal SME to make this game soar. If you have the below skills and are interested in learning more, please send us your resume right away.

• Write production-quality C++ code across multiple engine systems - from rendering to physics to gameplay.
• Jump between different technical challenges as needed, acting as a Swiss Army knife for the engineering team.
• Modify Unreal Engine 5 source code to solve specific problems and implement new features.
• Profile and optimize code across CPU and GPU to achieve performance targets.
• Debug complex issues wherever they arise - no system is off-limits.
• Collaborate with other engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.

• 5-10 years of professional game development experience with a passion for hands-on coding.
• Strong experience with Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5) at the source code level - you should be comfortable diving into any part of the engine.
• Expert-level C++ proficiency with understanding of modern C++17/20 features.
• Proven track record as a generalist who has worked across multiple engine systems (rendering, physics, gameplay, tools, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to modify engine source code, create custom plugins, and extend engine functionality.
• Self-directed problem solver who can tackle any technical challenge thrown their way.
• Experience shipping games on PC and/or current-generation consoles.
• Strong technical communication skills without interest in people management.
