Client is looking for a Mainframe Developer with expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Scripting.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Ability to break down an ambiguous problem and define it more clearly.
  • Ability to work within a team asking for clarification when needed.
  • Familiar with good programming standards documentation, commenting code and doing standard testing. Ability to work with others on features.
  • Understanding of manufacturing / ERP in general
  • Oracle Forms C Programming PL/SQL COBOL FMS DMQ (message queue) VMS/VAX Emulation - programming/compiling in this environment.
  • SQL Server SQL Scripting and Stored Procedures JSON and XML
  • Excellent knowledge of debugging tools to address performance and reliability bottlenecks.
  • Good knowledge of unit testing using JUnit and mock frameworks.
  • Motivated to learn and stay up to date with emerging and relevant technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting, discussing, and documenting technical information.
  • Ability to voice opinions, present clear rationale and use data or factual evidence to influence decision.
  • Some previous MES experience - desired
