Sales Engineer

IFP Motion Solutions Inc., a recognized and established manufacturer of custom control solutions headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa has an immediate need for a motivated self-starter in the Kansas City, KS area to work as a Sales Engineer.

Summary:

Successful candidates will have the support resources from the industry s best motion control distribution-based engineering and manufacturing organization. The Sales Engineer will specialize in electrical systems with a focus on hydraulics and automation. They will play a pivotal role in driving business growth within the territory outside of our APR. Your primary responsibility will be to forge strong relationships with new and existing clients, providing technical expertise, and offering tailored solutions that meet their unique needs. Training on product knowledge will be provided. This position will require travel and include minimal overnight stays.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets in the designated territory.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and proposing customized solutions leveraging electrical, hydraulic, and automation technologies.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering and technical teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of product capabilities and effectively communicate these to clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.

Desired Requirements:

• Must have an insurable driving record.
• Degree or background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Proven track record in sales, preferably within the industrial automation or electrical/ hydraulic systems sector.
• A strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
