Job Description:

Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician

Location: Pflugerville, TX (30 minutes outside of Austin)

Type: Short term contract (6 weeks), onsite 5 days/week, 50 hour work week (10 hour days)

Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

About Us: This facility is a cutting-edge hub for e-commerce, leveraging advanced robotics and artificial intelligence to streamline the shipping process. Were looking for Electro-Mechanical Technicians to work on a 6 week project. You will be working in a cross functional team.

Responsibilities:
  • Safety First: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Complete and document preventative maintenance routines, lead and audit procedures.
  • Work Orders: Create and close out work orders, including data on labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
  • Training: Develop training plans for team members.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain a positive working relationship across all operations within the facility.
  • Inventory Management: Track and store department inventory.
  • Physical Requirements: Move up to 49 lbs and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Required Skills:
  • 3-5 years of electro-mechanical experience.
  • 2-year degree or equivalent training.
  • Proficiency with hand tools.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with automated systems and controls.
  • 3+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
  • 3+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 3+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
  • Familiarity with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
