Job Title: Sr.KDB Developer Location: New York, NY (Need Onsite day 1, hybrid 4 days from office). Duration: Fulltime - Direct hire

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining high-performance time-series data applications using KDB+ and q language. Candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting data solutions that drive real-time analytics and decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining high-performance time-series data applications using KDB+ and q language. Candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting data solutions that drive real-time analytics and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain efficient kdb+ databases and q code for high-frequency trading, analytics, and data storage.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts, traders, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Optimize and tune database performance for large-scale time-series data.
- Design and implement data pipelines, data models, and algorithms.
- Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving performance issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Assist in deployment, testing, and integration of kdb+ solutions.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, tools, and trends related to kdb+ development.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a kdb+ developer, with hands-on expertise in q programming.
- Strong understanding of time-series data, financial markets, or trading systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with database design, data modeling, and data warehousing.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- Proficiency in optimizing and tuning kdb+ performance.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Python, C++, or other programming languages.
- Knowledge of financial products, trading systems, or market data infrastructure.
- Previous experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
