Cyber Security Analyst


Location: Houston, TX


In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing cybersecurity measures that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our IT systems and data. You will ensure compliance with TSA regulations, conduct security monitoring, respond to incidents, and lead risk management efforts across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Monitor IT infrastructure for security threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches.




  • Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and ensure proper remediation.




  • Ensure compliance with TSA cybersecurity directives and pipeline security standards.




  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.




  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.




  • Lead security awareness and training initiatives across the organization.




  • Manage and maintain security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection systems.




  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to align security with business objectives.




  • Prepare regulatory documentation including TSA Cybersecurity Implementation and Assessment Plans.




  • Implement network segmentation, access control, continuous monitoring, and patch management strategies.




Qualifications:




  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably in the energy or pipeline industry.




  • Proven knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.




  • Hands-on experience with incident response, vulnerability assessments, and compliance audits.




  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards including TSA and industry-specific frameworks.




  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.




  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.




Education & Certifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.




  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GSEC are highly desirable.
