Title: Quality and Automation Engineer
Location : Remote

Type: (C, CTH, D) Contract
Pay Rate / Salary (Ranges OK) : $50/hr

Overview

Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with QA team to develop and establish quality assurance best practices and automated testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications
- Collaborate with software team to develop and maintain test automation scripts
- Provide dynamic dashboard reports of test execution results and test coverage percentages
- Analyze product requirements and technical specifications for applications being tested
- Create test cases both manual and automated
- Execute test cases and provide assessment of release risk based on results
- Audit success of established QA standards
- Verify test coverage and revise quality assurance standards and test cases both manual and automated as needed
- Ensure proper test coverage exists for aligning business requirements to system implementation
- Collaborate with application team in testing both manual and automated test cases that cover all test levels including functional, integration, exploratory, system, unit, regression, performance, load, E2E and user acceptance testing
- Make recommendations for improvement of applications to engineers
- Communicate testing progress, test results, and all risks to schedule and or stability of the application under test to project stakeholders and management
- Analyze test results and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability issues as well as user impact
- Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies
- Continuously communicate status of testing results for all items in a release
- Provide root cause analysis activities for failures of items in a release

Qualifications

- 8 - 10 years experience in testing major application integrations and/or major application product releases
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Skillset required
- Strong knowledge of SDLC milestones, best practices and testing methodologies throughout each phase
- Expert level understanding of manual and automated testing best practices and toolsets
- Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with statistical reporting and analysis
- Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment either on an Agile Scrum team or similar
- Experience working with multiple Testing Automation tools system wide
